Home Improvements

This website is evolving into something I never intended to create.  I have been in the real estate industry for my whole adult life as a Realtor, a Mortgage Broker or an Accountant working on real estate Limited Partnerships.  I remember back in the early 1980's all quality homes had wooded windows.  Realtors liked to brag about the Anderson Windows or Pella Windows.  Vinyl windows were being used in Europe and were slowly making their way into the US.  They were viewed as a lesser product to the wooden windows, the real thing.  Fast forward 40 years.  Vinyl windows are literally the only choice, especially in the Wilmington climate of humidity, sun and cooler evenings.  And now we are seeing it with flooring.  Back in the day the choices were a hardwood floor, tile or carpet.  We still have the traditional oak hardwood floors, but to that list you may now add Engineered Wood flooring, Laminate, Bamboo, Vinyl and Cork.  Even the tile flooring is different.  There are tile floors made to look like wood, very expensive but impressive and great in a beach environment.  All of this new technology sent me to YouTube to learn about these changes.  I've put many of the videos here in one place as a reference and learning library for you and me as well.  Enjoy!
