This is a picture of me with my friend and founder of the league, Phil Rose. Sadly he passed away in April of 2015 after many years of fighting cancer. I think his love for the league kept him going into his 80's. This spring will be the start of my 15th year as a member of Wilmington Senior Softball. I have served as the league Treasurer, President and team Manager. I am now back to being just a player. The association currently consists of nearly 180 players starting at age 55. Since we have players in their mid 50's and some in their mid 80's we have divided our league into three divisions to accommodate all skill levels.
We are having spring training the first week of March for all new players. I think of us as a social club that has fun playing ball. Check out the website or give me a call 910-409-0032. |
