This area of the country is truly blessed to have a wide diversity of citizens from all over the country and a climate that gives us a taste of all four seasons yet is mild enough for year-round outdoor activities. I am featuring 8 public schools that are located in New Hanover County and one in neighboring Pender County. The area has the highly regarded University of NC - Wilmington and an impressive Cape Fear Community College. Both of these schools have reached out to several of the high schools to incorporate their students into their college programs. Students are able to obtain high school and college credits at the same time. Students have fabulous opportunities to learn many aspects of the entertainment industry. Wilmington has a major movie industry as well as the Wilson Center for the performing arts.
